Hissatsu series
The is a long-running prime-time popular television Jidaigeki series about assassins in Japan, produced by ABC Television and Shochiku. ''Hissatsu Shikakenin'' is based on Shōtarō Ikenami's novel ''Shikakenin Fujieda Baian'', but its sequels are only inspired by it. The series still continues as an annual two-hour special drama. Jidaigeki
is a genre of film, television, and theatre in Japan. Literally meaning "historical drama, period dramas", it refers to stories that take place before the Meiji Restoration of 1868. ''Jidaigeki'' show the lives of the samurai, farmers, craftsmen, and merchants of their time. ''Jidaigeki'' films are sometimes referred to as chambara movies, a word meaning "sword fight", though chambara is more accurately a subgenre of ''jidaigeki''. Ichirō Nakatani
was a Japanese actor. He attended Waseda University, but withdrew before completing his degree and joined the Haiyuza Theatre Company. In 1959, Nakatani won Elan d'or Award for Newcomer of the Year. Mie Nakao
Mie Nakao (Japanese: 中尾 ミエ; born 6 June 1946 in Kokura) is a Japanese actress and singer. With and she co-starred in the hit 1963 teen movie ''Hai, Hai Sannin Musume'' ("Yes, Yes, The Three Girls"). The three actress became the latest incarnation of the long-running series of ":ja:三人娘, Three Girls" acts during the 1950s, 60s and 70s, under their manager Watanabe as the ''Watanabe-Pro Sannin musume'' (渡辺プロ三人娘). Nakao has continued to appear on television and produce music. Nakao debuted as a singer at the age of 16. In May 1962, her debut single was "''Kawaii Baby''" (可愛いベイビー), a cover of the song "''Pretty Little Baby''" by Connie Francis (from the 1962 album ''Connie Francis Sings "Second Hand Love"''), was released. The song sold over a million copies. Hissatsu Shiokiya Kagyō
is a Japanese television ''jidaigeki'' or period drama that was broadcast in 1975–1976. It is the 6th in the ''Hissatsu'' series. Kenji Misumi was hospitalized while directing episode 13 where he later died. Plot Nakamura Mondo retired from professional killer's job but a woman(Okō) suddenly visits Mondo and urges him to withdraw his retirement. He refuses once but he finally decides to come back from his retirement. Mondo coincidentally witnessed murder during his patrol. The man who committed murder was a lonely assassin, Ichimatsu. Ichimatsu is a bamboo craftsman but he is also a professional killer. Ichimatsu thought of killing Mondo because he was witnessed his murder by Mondo. One day Nakamura Mondo suddenly visits Ichimatsu to ask him to kill a man. In the final episode of Kurayami Shitomenin Itoi Mitsugu was killed so Mondo has been looking for someone.
